Every Monday you will receive a 20 minute module packed with clear & easy to digest learning content.
You will learn new sounds, new rhythms, and key techniques to build a solid foundation in beatboxing.
You can watch these pre-recorded videos in your own time & at your own pace.
From Tuesday to Sunday you will receive guided practice videos that show you how to effectively practice what you've learned.
These bitesized 10 minute videos can easily fit into a busy schedule.
A cornerstone of this method, they work to build the muscle tone needed for a solid foundation in beatboxing.
Multiple skill levels and bonus content cater to different learning speeds
Every Thursday there will be an (optional) 40 minute group coaching call live on zoom, with me, Bellatrix.
You will have the opportunity to receive individual professional coaching on your new sounds, ensuring that you're on the right track.
You can connect with other participants on the course and learn from their journeys as to enrich your own.
Everyone who takes part in the course gets a 1-to-1 coaching call on zoom with me.
You will receive in depth, personalised support with your beatboxing.
This is a unique opportunity as I don't otherwise offer 1-to-1 lessons.
You will be invited to join our Facebook group, where past and present members of the course share their beatboxing journeys with each another.
The group is very supportive and caring, and you can receive great feedback from each other.
I am present in the group too, and I love to keep up to date with everyone's journeys as they share!
I’ve been beatboxing for nearly 20 years.
I was the first professional female beatboxer in the UK and I am 2x World Champion and
4x UK champion beatboxer. I also play the bass, I sing, and I write & produce music.
I’ve been very lucky to have such a rich and varied career in music so far. I’ve performed across the world in many major venues and festivals, and worked with all sorts of incredible artists from a variety of creative backgrounds.
I’ve also worked extensively in education and been a part of some great learning and participation projects. I’ve taught beatboxing in a lot of different settings including schools, hospitals and community centres, and I’ve worked with all different ages.
I have a passion for exploring the different ways that we can use our voices.
I believe that the voice can be a key, and that being given the space and the tools to explore our voices can help us to access things like
joy, confidence, self expression and of course many layers of creativity.
As I’m a musician by trade, it is through the lens of music that I work with the voice. However music is not always the end game of the work I do. Often the people I’m working with are there because they want to expand upon their creative skill set. Sometimes however, I work with people because the voice can be an incredibly powerful tool for accessing other life skills.

The next course will begin on MONDAY 6TH JANUARY 2025
The group coaching calls will take place live on zoom at 7pm UK time (GMT) on the following dates:
9th January
16th January
23rd January
30th January
This is a beginners course and I will be teaching from the beginning. It doesn't matter whether you have previous musical experience or not.
This course is for you if:
You have no beatboxing experience.
You have tried out some beatboxing, but you do not yet have a solid grasp of the basics.
This course is not for you if:
You have a solid grasp of the basics of beatboxing and are looking to take it to the next level.
The course will always start on a Monday and be 4 weeks long.
The group coaching calls will be on the four Thursdays that fall within that time, and will be at the same time each week.
After you select a pricing option you will be taken to the checkout page, and the exact dates and times of the group coaching sessions will be detailed there.
Some people sign up to the programme and work through the content in their own time frame without coming to the group coaching calls. As long as you're committed to the regular practice, this is fine. You still get your 1-2-1 session.
Other people sign up to a specific course date but cannot make the zoom calls. The calls are recorded so you will be able to watch them back.
You can sign up to my newsletter HERE to receive updates on new course dates.
There is not a direct answer to this question, because everyone is different.
There are different elements to being a beatboxer including making sounds, understanding rhythm, feel for rhythm and more. Some people will pick certain elements up faster than others, and that's okay!
We will all improve at different rates depending on our own personal rate of growth, alongside how much energy we can / choose to dedicate to the journey.
This is a beginners course, and is designed to guide you through the beginner level, and provide you with a solid foundation with the basics.
You have access to the recorded course content for one year. This means that you can move at a slower pace if you need to, and also that you can repeat that element of the course in your own time.
If you don't take your 1-to-1 lesson within the time that the course is running, you may lose the lesson (depending on my availability to squeeze you in at a later date).
You will have ongoing access to the Facebook Community forever - as far as I can say forever in an impermanent world!
Yes! I don't want anyone to be priced out of this course, so there will be a number of scholarship slots available each time I run the course.
These are 'Pay What You Can', and will be available on a first come first served basis. The more paying participants I get, the more scholarship places I will be able to open up.
Please do not take up one of the scholarship places if you have a relatively high degree of earning power and access to resources - regardless of whether you are currently exercising your earning power.
Please get in touch if you would like to apply for a scholarship.
You can have a full refund within 7 days of purchasing the course, up until the start date.
Once the course has started, I don't offer refunds.
